MI6:8’s goal is to serve domestically as well as in Mexico to fulfill the needs of the Church and surrounding communities through building and outreach. In keeping with this goal, MI6:8 has begun adding additional projects located within the United States. Please keep checking back for new information and projects we’re working on!
Catalina Island
We are so excited to be heading back to Catalina Island February 14-17, 2025!
Last year we participated in our first trip partnering with Campus By The Sea on Catalina Island to help with minor rebuilding of this 72 year old youth camp. In February Mission I6:8 joined with many others to work on several deferred maintenance projects. Many of these involved concrete, carpentry, painting, site clean up, and many other projects, adding up to over 50 separate projects. We were also blessed to see the arrival of a college group and to witness the baptisms of about 40 people.
This year our projects will involve a variety of tasks such as concrete work, carpentry, painting, site cleanup, and other projects that may arise. We’re looking for volunteers who are willing and capable of performing these tasks with a focus on quality and care.
